I am proud to be part of the largest Real Estate team of Harcourts. You can often see me out on the surf during the summer months or on the slopes of the mountain with the snowboard in tow. My passion lies with real estate and I love to help people. Currently I am employed with Harcourts New Plymouth as a Residential Property Marketing Specialist. My previous experience is very varied with having been employed by the Royal New Zealand Navy as an Officer. My time of service was a great experience and took me all over the world which gives me a great appreciation of what New Zealand has to offer its people. I believe Taranaki is one of the most active places to live, with such close proximity to the surf and snow and any bush experiences, the activities you can become involved with are endless. This large variety of activities brings people to Taranaki from all over the world which makes New Plymouth a great place to live.

Hi,
I am researching my Swiggs family tree, and have traced descendants of the Plymouth UK Swiggs to Adelaide, AIdtralia, and then I believe some went to New Zealand. I wonder of yu kjnow anything about your Swiggs ancestors?
I would be interested to hear if oyu think there could be any link?

Hi Chloe
I live in the UK. My grandmother was a Swiggs, she lived all over the world, but her father came from Plymouth, Devon, and was a relative of the Thomas Swiggs who settled in Adelaide, and from whom the Adelaide branch of the Swiggs family came . Ihave a 4th cousin, Michael Swiggs, who has done a lto of work on the Swiggs family tree, and we both found the Australian connection, but have been trying to find whether there are also descendants on New Zealand. On the family tree Michael has, there are also Swiggs in Canada-one of them, my father’s cousin, and I keep im touch by email-she has grandchildren in their teens, but of course they have a different surname.
